Résumé

L’échographie du diaphragme est un examen réalisable au lit du patient pour l’évaluation de la trophicité et l’approximation de la force de contraction du diaphragme. Après prise en compte des paramètres de validité et des conditions respiratoires de la mesure, l’évaluation échographique peut permettre d’évaluer le risque de sevrage difficile de la ventilation mécanique.

Abstract

The ultrasound exam of the diaphragm is feasible at the patient’s bedside and it allows the evaluation of both the diaphragm trophicity and the approximation of the diaphragm force production. After careful consideration of the respiratory conditions and the validity parameters, the diaphragm ultrasound evaluation may help to anticipate difficult weaning from mechanical ventilation.
